The market analysis in the Osiris project was made to support the development of several new tools for i.e. dissemination and innovation for the business actors. The analysis examines opportunities and challenges, strengths and weaknesses in the market for assisted living technology, the size of the market, the needs of the users, and how different actors can access essential knowledge. Respondents from different groups suggest improvements and solutions that can strengthen the welfare technological landscape from their perspective. The analysis was performed in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Denmark. The market analysis shows that the business actors in Central Region, Denmark need easier access to knowledge, systems and decision makers for cooperation, and easier access to strong locally based environments where companies can get help and guidance. Furthermore the business actors need a public sector respecting that companies cannot make a living by participating only in the development of new technology projects, and gives greater priority to testing and implementing new welfare technology products
