The companies wish that the area of welfare technology stood out more as an independent industry (today companies working with welfare technology have many different industry codes). An independent industry focus could increase the opportunities to become more visible. Furthermore business needs to have knowledge about venture capital companies which often invest in technology-based high-growth and high-risk companies that need financing for product development. Business also needs to have knowledge about crowdfunding and the 4 forms: Donation-based, reward-based, loan-based and share-based
