Therefore, the willingness of family members to support seniors and readiness to provide necessary assistance in learning new things, in buying those smart solutions (software, smart devices, etc) is essential factor in open innovation ecosystem. Involvement of family members in better uderstanding of the needs of seniors, during design and prototyping stages will increase value proposition. Children and grandchildren of seniors are those who could help to better understand the latest available solutions to seniors and to provide necessary assistance in educating them in their usage.Therefore, in creation of innovative ICT solutions targeting seniors, the family members could be targeted as a co-creators thus providing a valuable input.

The point of view of different family members differ regarding the usage of smart solutions, software, etc. It is necessary to consider that there are seniors living alone.
